Hey all,
Thanks for agreeing to be a part of the box garden research. Most of you have received or will receive your starter kit today. I hope you can get the seeds planted very soon and can start enjoying your growth.
I have set up this blog for me to post weekly updates, and as a forum for any of you to share experiences or ask questions. I am by no means an expert at this stuff, but I do have a couple of years of experience that might provide some tips if anyone has a question. I have taken the liberty to sign everyone up for the blog. If you do not wish to be a part, you can always opt out.
All of you will notice that I have included mustard greens in the mix. I have never grown mustard greens, but I assume they will be a lot like collard greens. Truthfully I just wanted to see what a mustard seed looked like. Jesus said the kingdom is like a mustard seed. It is the smallest of all the seeds, but when it grows it becomes a tree and the birds hang out in it. He also said, that if you have faith as small as a mustard seed you can say to mountains and trees be uprooted and cast into the sea, and they will obey.
I have never seen this happen and felt like my faith was wanting because of it. I think there is something in actually planting the seed itself that will aid us all in our experience of moving mountains. That is why I get us all some mustard. I hope the greens taste good.
I know I have shared with some of you that gardening has taught me more about spiritual laws than any other project I have embarked on. I will share a lot of this stuff with you as we go through the process. Remember, we are completing the project with a BBQ at my house. Nothing like finishing off an organic vegan project with some beef consumption!
I look forward to getting everyone's feedback. Thanks for being a part.
Tim
